Happy First Birthday Emma!

I still remember the day very well that Emma came into my life. She was born Sunday morning, May 18, 2009, at 7:30 weighing 8 lb. 15 oz and measuring 21 1/2 inches long. She had a head full of dark hair, 10 fingers and 10 toes, cute cheeks like her daddy, angels kisses on her forward, stroke bites on the back of her neck, and a cry that would melt any one's heart. I am blessed to have her as my daughter. I love her more than I thought I could love someone. There are not to many moments in my day that I don't think of her.

We celebrated her one year birthday on Saturday. We went to the park and grilled hot dogs, played on the playground, celebrated with our family and friends, and went to ride the train. The big boys even played ball. She got lots of great gifts from her family and friends. She got money, shoes, books, a travel car for outside, a Dora ride along, clothes, her own remote for the TV, a swing, puzzles, a basketball goal, a pottery barn chair, crayons, and a digger dog. We thank all our family and friends for coming and joining in the celebration of Emma.

On Sunday Rob and Emma were baptized. This was a symbolic and meaningful experience for both of them. Emma was beautiful in her gown as you can see. In addition to the baptism Rob, Emma and I joined the church. The congregation was thrilled.

Monday was Emma's actually birthday. Rob and I took off to spent the day with her. We had a wonderful day. We left town and went to Roanoke to the Mill Mount Zoo, and we ate at the Olive Garden for lunch. Emma loved the animals and walking all by herself through the zoo. She was sad when we left...big tears rolled down her face. I think Emma is an animal lover. We came back home and Nana, Goddy, Uncle Bernie, Aunt Beth and Anna-Grace wanted to meet for dinner. So off we went to the Outback...let's just say we were full.

Our weekend was marvelous. We had beautiful weather, family time, lots of celebrations, and most importantly quality time with Emma.

Happy Birthday Emma!

We are so blessed to have you as our daughter.

We love you!

P.S. Take a look over to the right for a slideshow of photos from Emma's big weekend!

Anna-Grace's suprise

Saturday, May 9th we traveled to The Boteler's for a cook-out and an Anna-Grace surprise. Anna-Grace got a pony. Bugsy is his name and he is cute. Anna-Grace had to warm up to him but once she did she didn't want to get off him. We had family and friend time by eating great food, having conversations, and watching the children play. Take a look at Nate and Anna-Grace playing ball. Emma was all about crawling in the dirt and getting dirty, Ellie was a sleepy girl and Matty was laying back with Nana.

Happy Mother's Day

Sunday was my first Mother's Day. I had a wonderful day with my beautiful daughter. Emma woke me up at 7 am with hugs and kisses. She is the sweetest thing. She wraps her arms around my neck and squeezes me. Then she rubs her nose and lips all over mine. We then moved onto walking Briggs, which she gets angry if you don't let her hold the leash. When Daddy woke up he and Emma secretly went to a bedroom and brought out my gift. Rob spoiled me with Vera Bradley bags and Emma gave me the mother/child Willow Angel. We then ate breakfast, took baths, and got ready for church. After church Emma and I spent time together by playing and napping-yep I took a nap. Shortly after our nap we went to have lunch with Nana and Goddy (I love you Nana~thank you for being my mother and friend). The rest of day flew by...Wal-Mart trip, playing with Emma, working on a surprise for her birthday (May 18th), working in the flower bed, giving Emma a bath, and finally putting her to bed. I wouldn't change a thing about our day together. I am blessed to be a mother.

Thank you Emma and Rob for being my beautiful family!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mother's I know.

Happy Anniversary!

Rob and I celebrated our second anniversary on Tuesday, April 28th. It is hard to believe we have been married for two years. We have a lot to be happy about...a beautiful home, a happy & blessed marriage, wonderful family and friends, the ability to laugh together, and most importantly our beautiful daughter. Life is wonderful!

Rob
Thank you for being a wonderful husband. I can't imagine my life without you. I love you so much. I can't wait to celebrate many more years with you.

Mommy Look What I Found

Emma is fastinated with Brigg's dog bowl of water and food. Rob and I are pretty good at keeping her out of the food. Well not the other day. Emma decided to hang out in the pantry while I put food away and somehow got a hold of some dog food and god medicine. She was so proud while I tried to pry open her mouth and remove the food.
