Snow Day!

I love snow days for several reasons: 1-I can spend the day with my girls. 2-I can put my favorite pictures of Emma and Sara on my blog. OK 3-I can be lazy-which is usually not in my vocabulary. After dinner last night we took the girls out to play in the snow. Yes, finally the year that Emma wanted to touch the snow, play in the snow and sled down a hill in the snow. I simply thought Sara would follow along, as she usually does with Emma, but no she decided that she wanted nothing to do with the snow. Her facial expressions say it all. Oh well, maybe next year. Also, in this post I have some other pictures that I just couldn't go without sharing.

Riding down the hill with Mommy!

Luckily for us we missed the tree.

Wow-big girl doing it all by herself!

Please Mommy get my out this.

Happier inside playing her dog guitar!

We had a stretch of 3 weeks where we couldn't get the girls
well. Both had ear infections, both had wheezing, both had
yucky coughs and both had lots of medicine. Emma handled hers like a champ. Sara let us know she didn't care for any of it. Thanks to our fabulous babysitter medicine was given at the babysitters. Sara allowed Mrs. Lori to give her medicine without a fight, including the inhaler.

Big girl eating on her own without a lot going to Briggs!

One more snow picture

Emma loving it~Sara hating it

I took this picture a couple of weeks ago. A beautiful winter day to ride her bike with a coat. Emma's highlight of this day was she saw her shadow.

Applied all on her own. Thanks Aunt Meme and Uncle Brian!

LOVE THIS PICTURE.

I can not tell how many moments there are like this one. Emma and Sara showing up their special sister bond. When I look at this my heart beams and hope their bond will never change.

A Few Weeks Behind

Now that I have been laid up with a bad knee for 4 days I have had a lot of time to think about what to do next. I am determined to work on my health, happiness, balance (in the means of money & stress), and time to jot down the funny and not so funny moments in my life I don't won't to forget.

This is my happiness!

A Funny to Remember

I have had to be on crutches and a brace to help stabilize my swollen knee. This has definitely slowed me down-not my life style. I can only remember being on crutches once in my life in middle school for a few days because of a sprained ankle and I recall it being just as hard then as it is now. Rob has been a tremendous help and nothing less than great. My sweet Sara snickers and grins every time I have to use the crutches, and Emma is a little me-worried, helpful, and concerned that I will have to get another shot in my knee. Here is what I don't want to forget about this experience.

Emma: Mommy do you need my help?

Me: Yes you can help me to the bathroom.

Emma: Just be careful as you hop scotch to the bathroom.

Me: (Laughing) I will be very careful.
