First Big Boo-Boo
Last Wednesday Aunt Meme, Nate, Matty and Ellie came for dinner. After dinner we took the kids downstairs to play and run around. About the time we were ready to come upstairs Emma had an accident. I saw the whole thing in slow motion. She lost her balance and busted her mouth on a shelf-which isn't normally there. She instantly began to cry, oh I mean scream, and the blood started pouring. We rushed her upstairs, held a wet wash cloth to stop the bleeding and hugged and kissed her until she settled down. It looks like her top teeth broke into the bottom lip and the shelf cut a small gash on the bottom outside lip. The great news is she didn't break any teeth. I would love to share a picture...of course I got a picture, but it is so blurry that the computer won't read it. Don't you love technology. I did find a picture that I took on Father's Day that barely shows the remains of her boo-boo.
Emma's First Haircut
On Tuesday, June 16th Emma had her first haircut. Andrea, my wonderful stylist, made time for Emma. How sweet she is! Emma sat in the chair all by herself, let Andrea put on a cape, and most importantly cut her hair...What a big girl. Emma wasn't to sure about her hands under the cape and because Andrea had a comb in her hand Emma needed one too. I should have known that since every morning when I am getting ready Emma has to play with my brushes. We didn't cut a lot. Just needed a small trim to help thicken the hair and let it grow more. Of course we got a before picture, pictures while the hair was being cut, but somehow missed the after shot. What was I thinking.

Visitor on the Deck!
On Friday we were hanging out in the kitchen making dinner when something caught my eye. On top of the grill was a very happy squirrel. He was very curious of what he was on. Emma thought he was funny.

I think he caught us.

The Lastest on Emma
I want to brag on Emma a little. She is a very busy little girl making her Mommy stay on her toes pretty much all day. Now that Emma is walking I rarely sit down. I would really like to know where her energy comes from. She is talking up a storm, however I have no idea what she is saying. There is one word she says that is so adorable. She wrinkles her nose and shouts "shne." Maybe one day I will know exactly what she is saying or wanting. Emma is an outside girl. She simply loves to explore and can walk a sidewalk one hundred times and be very happy. She is devastated when she has to come inside. Her heart is broken and big tears roll down her face. Emma is a loving child. She blows and gives kisses, hugs and pats your shoulders, and loves to rub hair. I saw the most adorable thing the other day. We were visiting Bailey, Riley and Patricia. Bailey was standing in the living room and Emma simply went up to Bailey and gave her a big hug and patted her head. I have now been home for 4 days of my summer vacation and I see how much Emma is growing each day. I am loving every minute, but can say that I am already very tired. Check out a couple of cute pictures I recently took.

Happy Birthday Bailey and Matty!
Well, of course I am a little behind on blogging but I couldn't miss blogging about two very important people to Rob, Emma and I.

Saturday, May 30th we went to Bailey's birthday party. We had a great time watching Bailey's first year video, destroying her cake, and opening her presents. I would love to share a picture of the birthday girl but we forgot our camera. We were just glad to be there for Bailey. It is so special for Emma to have a little friend so close in age to grow up with.
Happy Birthday Bailey!
On Sunday we traveled to Northern Va to celebrate with Matthew his 3rd birthday. We had a fantastic day. It is hard to believe that last year Emma was just two weeks old when she attended her first birthday party. Matty's party was at a locate park that is the best playground facility I have ever been at. The highlight besides the cake was the carousal.
Happy Birthday Matty! We love you!
