The Last Month In A Summary

Hello to all our friends and family. Our Internet has been down for some time but we are finally up and running again. A lot has occur ed since we last posted an entry so enjoy the summary.

We have moved into our new home. Unfortunately, we don't have a picture of us in front of the new home yet. . Well, let's just say we love it. It is exactly what we wanted and plan on being here for a very long time. We are still getting settled. Basically, we have pictures to hang and basic decorating to do. The picture below shows Emma's interest in helping us out with the packing.

The last time I wrote Emma was standing on her own for a few seconds at a time. To encourage her to walk we found her a push toy. It is so cute...Tacky Lion is what we call him. Emma loves him and she is a pro at driving him around. When she doesn't have Tacky Lion to hold onto she is taking steps on her own. Before we know it she will be running around and we will be running after her.

Emma does not like grass. She reminds me of my nephew Nate. He didn't want to sit on the sand at the beach. Well, with that being said, when we go to sit Emma down in the grass she lifts her feet up so she won't touch the ground. If she does sit on the ground she holds her feet in the air and somehow manages not to put her hands in the grass either. It is very funny. This is us in our new yard.

This was Emma's first Easter. She had a wonderful time making crafts, dying eggs, and finding eggs at church on Saturday. As you can see in the picture Emma and her friends had a long tiring day and the picture taking completely did them in, especially Emma and Bailey. Zoey was a trooper. We should have taken the picture before we started. After the fun time at church and a nap ,Rob and I took Emma to see the Easter bunny at the mall. I am keeping my fingers crossed she is will continue to feel comfortable with bunnies, Santa's and cartoon characters.

Easter Sunday was very nice. Emma woke up to see what the Easter Bunny had brought her. She really loved the Elmo and of course the eggs to beat together. Emma dressed in her very cute Easter dress with tights (thanks She-She for the dress), white shoes and a bonnet (thanks Grandma and Grandpa Lane). Can you believe we did not get a picture of the three of us, but we did get a picture of all the girls after the service. Emma at that point would not keep her hat on nor would she sit down, so Riley had to hold her. Aren't they cute?!

On Monday Rob and I had our hearts broken. We had to put George to sleep. It has been hard on all of us but more difficult for Rob. He has had George for 13 year. We brought him home and buried him behind our house. George had been sick for a month or more and we honestly couldn't bear it any longer. We know that he is much better now, but our hearts are heavy because he was a great pet and family member.

Well, that is it. We have a big week coming up. Lucky is to be born towards the end of week and Emma will be 11 months old. That is hard to believe.
